Why does the red palm oil solidify?
Carotino oil contains similar proportions of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, so it solidifies at lower temperatures. When you put the bottle or jar of oil in a warmer room or in a warm water bath, it melts up again. When the oil melts and solidifies, even repeatedly, it does not lose its chemical and physical properties.
Compared to animal fats, red palm oil contains shorter saturated fatty acids - they are easily digested and do not contribute to cholesterol problems.
