What are antioxidants?
They neutralize free radicals by giving them the ions they are looking for. They stop unstable molecules from destroying healthy cells. The body itself is able to produce antioxidants, but not in the right amount.
How much carotene to use daily?
As an example, the American Department of Agriculture and the National Institute of Oncological Diseases recommends a daily dose of 5-6 mg of carotenoids (plant group pigments (alpha, beta carotenes, lycopene and others).
It contains only one tablespoon of "Carotino" 14 gr.
Some other studies suggest that antioxidants may help AIDS virus carriers. Researchers have found that additional doses of beta Carotene and vitamin E in HIV carriers can prevent the onset of the disease.
What products contain antioxidants?
Most effective are vitamin C, vitamin E, beta Carotene and selenium.
Antioxidants play a greater healing and protective role in natural foods.
Beta carotene is found in red-orange vegetables (carrots, tomatoes), green leaves.
One of the unbeatable sources of antioxidants is red palm oil "Carotino". It contains four different types of antioxidants - alpha and beta carotene, vitamin E and coenzyme Q10, which, however, is not as strong as vitamin E and beta carotene, but Q10 is able to fight free radicals.
Various foods contain antioxidants, but the most effective are vitamin C, E, beta carotene and selenium.
